How to Throw a Fabulous Gay Halloween Party

In the words of the legendary Cady Heron from Mean Girls, Halloween is the only night a year when girls (and gays) can dress like total sluts and no other girls (or gays) can say anything about it. The truth is that, gays would probably not say anything but support all the slutty Halloween costumes. This is the reason we couldn’t be more excited by the upcoming holiday, and we’re probably still finding the best party which we’ll crash or attend. However, since Halloween is just a couple of nights away, and we don’t have a party in our mind, it would be a perfect idea to throw our own Gayoween party! So, what are the most important things to have in mind and how to turn your plan into reality?

Show your originality by choosing a great theme

The first step is to find the venue of your party. It could either be your home, but if your budget is high enough, you can also book a cafe and host your party there — parties that are hosted somewhere else rather than homes are always super interesting. However, the second step is perhaps the most important — you get to choose the theme for your party and decorate it as you wish! A haunted house or graveyard theme are always very generic but still quite interesting as anyone can dress up in whatever they want. If you don’t want anything spooky for Halloween, you can organize a Gayoween bash and make everyone come dressed up in the gayest outfit. Not only will it be extremely interesting, but rather hot as well — and we definitely need something hot to keep us warm during the last day of October. As far as your decorations go, there is a plethora of options for DIY decorations that you can use, but make sure you stick to your theme. This is definitely something that might take some time, so having a couple of people to help you out is a great idea.

Don’t underestimate the power of costumes

Don’t underestimate the power of the costumes, as the selection can either make or break any party. Of course, you don’t want all of your gay friends to come dressed up as Cady from Mean Girls — the point of organizing a gay Halloween party is that you look sexy AF but still show that Halloween spirit in a way. In order to be sexy and still Halloweeny, you can demand that everyone comes in excellent men’s leggings (such as Kapow Meggings) — not only will they be able to think outside the box to find the perfect costume, but they will also be able to peek at the outlines of all the peaches and eggplants at the party (so killing two birds with one stone, huh?) This idea is quite original, but after all, it’s up to you.

Drinking and eating

Once you have the first two tips settled, it’s time to think about the bar and the buffet. Since it’s a gay party, you can make it a cocktail party (that you will originally name “Cock Tale”) and serve various Halloween-inspired cocktails. Since you’ve already spent a lot of time finding the perfect theme and the decorations, it could be a great idea to have the liquor delivered to you. This is why ordering Archie Rose gin online is an excellent idea — you will save a lot of time and still have the best gin at the party. The buffet should also be present, and the best option would be to serve finger food. No gay will actually be eating their heart out on a party (especially if they’re in their leggings) and put the possibility of having sex afterwards at risk, but you still need to have something for everyone if they want to grab a bite.

What to do?

As far as the activities go, there is also a plethora of options. Of course, the first one will be dancing and drinking the night away (but make sure you have a great playlist, though), but before you actually start, you can choose among many Halloween-inspired drinking games for adults that will be quite interesting (7 minutes in Gay Hell perhaps?).

And, as you can see, it’s not that difficult to organize a Halloween party just a couple of days prior to the actual date. So, get your engines running and start organizing now!

French fashion brand L’Homme Invisible has released a new campaign for its Anapos Line. This underwear and club-wear collection is made from striking blue fabric featuring organic shapes that evoke the waves of the ocean.

This collection includes three underwear styles and a t-shirt. The Anapos underwear comes in String Striptease, Slip Sexy Back, and V Shorty Push-up.

All styles are lined with a lightweight, semi-transparent, super-soft fabric in beige colour. This protective fabric lets your skin shine through the transparent lace while the contoured pouch draws attention to where you want it.

The T-shirt is made from the same fabric to match the underwear, and features a V-neck in black trim. This tee can be worn as a set with the underwear, but also for a night out if you want to add some colour to your ensemble.

The campaign was photographed in New York. The model is Philip Fusco.

The Anapos collection of L’Homme Invisible is available online and from specialist retailers.
